Create a free account to save up to one project, one boiler and 50 calculations per month, with Ask Dynamica capped at 10 messages per day. PDF exports are watermarked and the API is not included. Upgrade to Pro or Team any time — your saved cases come with you.

What's included in Pro vs Team?

Pro ($49/mo or $490/yr) is a single-seat plan for working engineers: all 12 calculator modules, unwatermarked PDFs with uncertainty bands, 10 boilers, 10 projects, 500 calculations/mo, unlimited Ask Dynamica, and a 10,000-call/mo API quota. Team starts at $499/mo (2 seats included) plus $99 per extra seat — annual $4,990 + $990 per extra seat. Team adds shared org library, viewer/engineer/admin roles, a 30-day audit log, and lifts the limits to 50 boilers, 50 projects, 5,000 calcs/mo and 100,000 API calls/mo across 2–10 seats.

How does Team seat pricing work?

Team uses slab pricing: a $499/mo base covers the first 2 seats, and each additional seat (up to 10) is $99/mo. Annual is $4,990 base + $990 per extra seat (≈ 17% off). Pick your seat count on the pricing page (2–10) and self-serve checkout bills both the base and the extra seats in a single subscription.

Is there a free trial of Pro?

Yes — start a 5-day Pro trial from inside the app, no card required. If you need more time to wrap up an evaluation, extend it once by 2 days self-serve. After the trial you drop back to Free unless you subscribe; your saved cases stay with you.

Do I have to opt in to the Pro trial?

Accepted Answer

No. Brand-new accounts are automatically given a 7-day Pro trial at signup — no card required. You can also start a separate 5-day opt-in trial from inside the app later (with a self-serve 2-day extension) if you need more time to wrap up an evaluation.

Can students really use Pro for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — verify with your .edu email and you get Pro features at $0 while enrolled, with annual re-verification. After you graduate we keep you on a 50% Pro discount for 12 months so the switch isn't painful.

Question 7

What happens if I exceed my API quota?

Accepted Answer

Only Student, Pro and Team include the public API. Calls past your included quota are billed at a per-call rate — $0.005/call on Student/Pro and $0.003/call on Team — or you can pre-buy a $50 pack of 25,000 calls. Free doesn't include API access at all; calculator usage in the web app is governed by the per-tier monthly calculation limit, not the API quota.

Can I cancel and keep my data?

Yes. Cancel any time from the app; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Every case exports as JSON (full state) or CSV (tabular), so there's no lock-in.
